"Once upon a time..."

...a charming hermit discovered she was a princess and then pricked her finger on a spindle and activated an evil curse. Typical. Since she hadn't any friends she didn't mind spending 100 years sleeping in dirt (just think of the dust!) and when a prince fought his way through thorns to reach her, she was so grateful to see a human being again she married him on the spot.

This set of five snag free stitch markers are like miniature jewels for your knitting. Hot pink round faceted jade beads are paired with glittering iridescent diamond shaped accents, creating a sweet and rich set of markers that remind me of Princess Aurora's iconic dress. A silver spinning wheel with a spindle atop it, much like the one Sleeping Beauty might have touched, dangles from one marker to help you mark a special stitch.

Part of my Fairy Tales series, these markers represent the romantic and magical story of Sleeping Beauty. There is the traditional evil fairy, the horrible curse that cannot be undone except by "twue wuv", and if you follow the Disney version of the story, a bevy of magical creatures all in love with this ridiculously gorgeous forest maiden. Honestly, I suspect that even if the man who had rescued her had been a lowly woodsman chopping trees who just happened upon her, Aurora would have been tickled pink by seeing him.

The beads are suspended from ultra-thin, nylon-coated stainless steel wire for a delicate, snag-less feeling on your knitting needles. They won't catch on your yarn, and the teardrop-shaped loops cut down the occurrence of ladders in your knitting.

The markers will fit comfortably onto knitting needles up to 6.5 mm (10.5 US), and are featured in the photos on needles of the same size.

Need crochet markers? These stitch markers can be turned into closed or open hook marker for crochet enthusiasts - just tell me in the Notes to Seller area when you check out which crochet style you would prefer.

Many of my stitch markers are designed from deconstructed vintage jewelry and reclaimed beads, for one-of-a-kind pieces that make great gifts and keepsakes for knitters.
