The Snow Queen - Fairy Tale Series - Five Snag Free Stitch Markers - Fits Up To 5.0 mm (8 US) - Limiteded Edition
"Once upon a time..."

...there was an ordinary boy and girl, a queen as cold as ice, and one massive magic mirror that had shattered into a billion pieces. This is a lesson in not breaking mirrors, else you have these kids' horrible luck.

This set of five snag free stitch markers are like miniature jewels for your knitting. The crystal glass beads edged with silver gleam like shards from a broken mirror. From one marker hangs a antiqued silver heart locket that really opens to help you mark a special stitch.

Part of my Fairy Tales series, these markers represent the dark and romantic story of The Snow Queen, and the young children, Kay and Gerda, who are drawn into her web. This story was one of my favorites as a child, though I'm not sure why, since Kay is a jerk to his best friend. Then he gets a shard of glass stuck in his eye which makes his heart freeze and he becomes even jerkier. If I were Gerda I might have let him stay kidnapped by the Snow Queen. But no, she has to go and rescues him, melting his heart with her tears and saving his bum self from the scariest fairy tale character I've ever run into.

The beads are suspended from ultra-thin, nylon-coated stainless steel wire for a delicate, snag-less feeling on your knitting needles. They won't catch on your yarn, and the teardrop-shaped loops cut down the occurrence of ladders in your knitting.

The markers will fit comfortably onto knitting needles up to 5.0 mm (8 US), and are featured in the photos on 4.05 (6 US) needles.

Many of my stitch markers are designed from deconstructed vintage jewelry and reclaimed beads, for one-of-a-kind pieces that make great gifts and keepsakes for knitters.
